Archdale is a city that touches the boundaries of both Guilford and Randolph Counties. Which means that in addition to the town’s own rules and regulations, owners will have to check rules for both counties if they are installing a fence. Big Jerry’s Fencing can help understand those and apply for permits where necessary.
Fence Permit
The City of Archdale doesn’t require a zoning or building permit for residential fence projects. Archdale is located within both Guilford and Randolph counties. They do not require building permits but properties within Randolph County boundaries will need a zoning permit prior to fence installation.
Zoning Considerations
Zoning regulations apply to fence projects, with front-yard fences limited to 4 feet in height and backyard fences up to 8 feet. They must not be constructed on easements and should only be put up within property lines.

Big Jerry's Fencing has been awesome to work with and installed a great looking fence. Were able to finish in two days even with some rain delaying the project. Requested quote - recieved in speedy time. Once agreed on quote, job was scheduled and done to our standards. Maria in office was a pleasure to work with. The driveway was left with forklift tire marks all over it, she quickly scheduled a crew to come out and power wash it-- looks brand new again. Great service and would recommend highly. Big Jerry’s was a life saver. We ran out of time to install the fence at our new house. We had the materials, but needed a quick install. The owner, Maria, sent us a fair quote very fast. They scheduled install within days. The crew showed up as promised and worked harder than any crew we have seen. They did an excellent job and got it 100% complete in 2 days. It was a pretty big job, about 400 feet of post and wire fencing with 2 gates. It turned out beautiful and sturdy, even with a bit of a steep grade on one side.
Biggest thing is everything was completed as promised, unlike most things nowadays.
I highly recommend them. The first company we called tried to charge 75% more for the same job.
