My Wife and I were recommended to Big Jerry's for our PVC fence. At first, there were no issues with them. We asked if they offered any military discounts. They said they did not but would see what they could do. They took money off for it and I was wildly appreciative of this.

The moment we paid our deposit, things went south. I'd encourage anyone considering this company to read the rest of this review.

Respect for your time:
Timeline shifts with little notice-The contract they make you sign essentially absolves them of any liability across the board. We received 30 minutes of notice that they were going to be dropping off materials, 1 day before the work was to begin. They then pushed back the starting date one day with little to no notice.

Respect for your property:
Damage to the Main water line. Prior to the job starting, one of the workers came out and walked the property with us. This was our first time having a fence installed, we didn't know what we didn't know. With that in mind, we asked the worker if they needed anything from us. He asked for the property lines. We believed that was all that was needed on our end. Day 2 into the job, they needed to hand-dig an area as there were waterlines. Evidently, there was a root above my waterline that they could not see. Instead of using reasonable care and digging around the root to ensure there was nothing beneath it, they chose to be negligent and use brute force. They broke through the root and damaged the line, causing a leak. Accidents happen, but what occurred after was nothing short of disheartening.

Lack of accountability:
The worker notified me that he had hit the line. I asked how and if they covered the damage. The worker responded, "Did you read your contract? We are not liable for damages done to your property." he then told us we were supposed to mark our lines. When we asked him if anything was needed from us earlier he said no. (In the contract, it does state to mark the lines. but again this is our first time doing this). I called the office and asked if they could do anything to help they took $140 off. That might cover the cost for the plumber to show up, it was wildly insulting. We reached back out and asked if they could cover the cost of the damage they had done and they said. we already gave you a military discount.

Thank God I served my country so that my discount could be applied to the damages they caused! They refused to acknowledge any fault in the situation. they refused to acknowledge my email asking them to put themselves in our shoes. Just wildly disappointing because a phone call apologizing would have gone a long way.

If you made it to the end of the review and are still considering, I implore you to read the contract before signing. Their actions can be assumed to indicate that they don't care about their customers.

From the initial quote to the build we are extremely satisfied. The schedule and steps were communicated so clearly and all questions were answered within 24 hours. The build itself took 2.5 days (we had nearly an acre fenced in that time). They maintained a clean workspace and even washed any dirt off the fence once they were finished with the build. We have nothing but great things to say. Reasonably priced for the work and customer service they provide. Immediate communication, hard workers, quality work. We cannot recommend enough.

The best experience honestly. Absolutely nothing went wrong. I got four different quotes, including from Home Depot and Lowe’s and I got anywhere between 10,000 to 14,000 total. Big Jerry’s quoted me at $6,800 for the same length of fencing. I don’t think you can get any more affordable than that. They have a very transparent price based on linear feet. The lady that I talked to on the phone and I emailed with -Iris was very quick to answer always even if it was later during the day; there was a person that was sent to confirm my measurements that I submitted online and as soon as I signed the contract and paid half of it using my bank account , I was able to set up my appointment (after my HOA approved our project). The workers , although most of them spoke more Spanish than English that did not bother me. They understood what I told them, they did the work in 2x 10 hour days, were super organized and did an amazing job. They even left a clean job site, absolute perfect experience. I would warmly recommend them! I was worried because of some reviews and their contract saying that it’s your responsibility as a householder to locate your lines however they did call 811 to have the lines located and they weren’t in the way at all. The only side I was worried about was where we have the septic lines we weren’t sure how far they go so I asked the guys to manually dig and they understood and did exactly what I asked them to do. No issues at all. Our fence looks so good!
