How We Got Started
Like it does for many homeowners, the time came when our founder, Jerry Davis, needed a fence for his own home. He found that process to be more difficult and stressful than anticipated. The challenges that came from other fence companies were widespread, but one thing was clear; there was a problem in the fence industry that needed to be solved.

This experience led him to try his hand at building his own fence, the way he wanted it to be built. After successfully installing a custom wood fence for his own yard, the neighbors came knocking asking for Jerry’s help with their fence needs. Word got out in the community that he was the go-to fence guy. Jerry decided to leave a career in law enforcement behind and take his experience building fences and turn it into a focus on building a fence company. In 2008, Jerry Davis started Big Jerry’s Fencing with a goal to make buying fences fast and easy so you can protect your loved ones and your investments. The vision was simple, to turn the industry on its head by doing everything differently than the norm.
