We make buying fences fast and easy so you can protect your loved ones and your investments.
Big Jerry's Fencing offers reliable fencing solutions to property owners in Antioch. Antioch offers a fast-growing suburban lifestyle with new subdivisions, older, established streets, and a fair number of properties near Mill Creek, where both soil and the water table come into play. A fence built here has to survive humid subtropical summers, occasional ice in January, and clay soil that turns to soup after a hard rain. Big Jerry's Fencing installs fences tailored to that exact mix, not a one-size-fits-all cookie-cutter template.

Big Jerry’s Fencing Permitting Requirements
Fencing in Antioch falls under the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County. In February 2026, Metro Council passed an ordinance requiring a fence permit for permanent fences built anywhere in Nashville and Davidson County, including Antioch.
Antioch is a community within Metro Nashville/Davidson County. Residents wanting to add a fence to a property in Nashville must meet Zoning and Building Code requirements but are not required to obtain a permit at this time, unless the property is in a Historic Preservation or Historic Landmark Overlay, in which case a Preservation Permit is required.
For front yard fences, solid fences sit back 10 feet from the street and cap at 30 inches there. Open fences like chain-link can reach 72 inches in that same zone and up to 6 feet elsewhere in the front yard before the house. For the side and rear yards, fences may be up to 8 feet tall.

Antioch’s humid subtropical climate brings around 48 inches of rain a year. This weather, along with limestone, stresses fence material. Vinyl, aluminum, and SimTek fences perform well. Pressure-treated wood, with regular maintenance, holds up. For a standard 100 linear-foot installation, most Antioch homeowners pay between $1,300 and $4,700, depending on material height and installation complexity.
Why Choose Us
We understand the fencing challenges of Antioch properties and build fences that stand the test of time for years.
Our proven systems and franchise-backed accountability ensure your fences are built for maximum performance.
We don’t recommend anything until we inspect your property.
Our transparent communication makes us a reliable choice.
We make buying fences fast and easy so you can protect your loved ones and your investments.
Our crews handle all kinds of fencing needs. Whether you require a fence that blocks a busy street view, contains a dog that treats an open yard like an invitation, or simply marks a property line, we build it right the first time.
Proper installation can make your fence last for years. We build fences keeping this in mind, setting posts deep enough to handle Antioch’s clay soil and the freeze-thaw cycle that comes with it every winter.
Squeaky gates. Bending or sagging gates. We don’t do any of that. Our gates are crafted with commercial-grade hardware and reinforced frames, built to withstand daily use without wearing out.
Fences take the brunt of the weather. We provide repairs for storm damage, leaning posts, and general wear so your fence doesn’t stay in bad shape
Aluminum shrugs off rust the way Antioch’s wet winters try to cause it. It keeps sightlines open, too, so you get security without losing the view of your own yard.
Vinyl doesn’t rot, fade, or ask for a repaint after a few humid summers. Rinse it with a hose once in a while and it looks new for years.
Function over beauty. Chain link is the most cost-effective way to mark a property line or contain a yard without blocking the view. It holds up fine against Antioch’s rain and heat with very little upkeep.
We started with the simple goal of providing quality fences and providing for family. Our founder, Big Jerry, started building fences on weekends as a police officer. We’ve always valued protecting family and property.
Now we have grown to multiple states, but our mission is the same. We make buying fences quick and easy, so you can protect your loved ones and your investments.
